Dun Laoghaire:  West Pier - 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, several Red-throated Divers, 1 Sparrowhawk, 13 Turnstone, 3 Black Guillemot in winter plumage and 2 in "almost there" breeding plumage, 2 Common Guillemot, 4 Purple Sandpiper, 2 Little Grebe and several Shag both juvenile and adult.
 
East Pier (seaward side):  2 Black Redstart, Pied Wagtail, 3 Mediterranean Gull, 1 Redshank.

Coolock:  How do you know an Owl has hit your window? The force of the impact knocks the powdery residue between its feathers and leaves a silhouette on the glass - see photo sent in by Brian Conlan.  Apparently the same thing happened two weeks previously at the rear window of his house.   Is the Owl determined to enter the house?  No, the windows are just too clean! and the reflection of the sky and vegetation are mirrored in the glass and the Owl sees it as being outdoors ....
