Griffith Avenue: Peregrine Falcon appears to be
visiting the 10 acre field off Griffith Ave. I've seen it on
three separate occasions now since new year. First time we saw
it was about three weeks ago sitting on a branch behind the
house here eating what looked like a mouse. It stayed around for
over half an hour flying out over the field and coming back to
perch on the trees behind the house. It was eventually persuaded
to move on by a trio of crows who harrassed it as it perched.
Saw it again about 10 days ago swooping low over the field and
again this morning 'patrolling' the field from a tree down at
the park on Walnut Ave.CC
